An optimistic conference

The Fundación Collado-Van Hoestenberghe is a lab for creative and independent theatre shows based in the Empordà. The particular sense of humour of this collective reaches the audience in most unconventional ways. It's full of vitality and critical spirit. An interesting proposal for this fifth edition of the Festival Còmic.

Ernesto Collado is a popular actor and a contemporary scene creator of Barcelona and L'Empordà, a black sheep that when he has behaved well can be seen in various Catalan TV shows like "El cor de la ciutat", "Mar de fons" and "Sagrada Família". Barbara Van Hoestenberghe is a musician and performer from Belgium with folk-punk-pop-Dadaists tendences.

According to the way they describe their show we can get an idea of the calibre: "A lecturer who suffers from ear detachment and his Flemish assistant (the one with the tennis socks) desperately try to get their strabismic point of view across. A stupefying musical experience with cowboys and charismatic chickpeas."

This is a conference about the things they like, about the things they know. It will also include things about which they know practically nothing, but they like very much. And things of which they're not too sure but make them laugh. In definite, an inventory of good stuff, real miracles and marvels in times saturated with mediocrity and bad predictions.
