Fun for all the family

"Ah-yah-yah Reviu" is a product of the game Chinese whispers or the telephone game: it starts saying one thing and ends up being completely different. And also as one of their most famous sketches features a conversation with a huge red telephone...

The original show was titled "Asisyai-revue". It was one of the 5 celebrated shows of Licedei, the Russian company founded by Slava Polunin in 1968. Despite this show belonging to history with "Ah-yah-yah Reviu" the Festival Còmic re-unveils some of the sketches which have turned Licedei into a revered company in the clowning world.

In Russian, "licedei" ("litsedeyi") means "those who pull faces", a perfect way to define clowns. Asisyai is the most popular character of the troupe created by the great Slava Polunin; the experts say that he has the poetic sadness of the clown grand maestro Leonid Engibarov, the refined philosophic pantomime of Marcel Marceau and the humanity and comic timing of Charles Chaplin.

"Ah-yah-yah Reviu" will be another unique performance for the Festival Còmic. An afternoon full of laughter, emotions, to be enjoyed by the whole family, to reach new audiences, and to celebrate the greatness of clowns.
