Since 2012 Laughter Therapy has been part of the programme of activities of the Comedy Festival. The four previous performances have been held in different areas of the city: the Ramon Muntaner Institute, La Cate/Parc-bosc, the Rambla and the Castell de Sant Ferran. Our aim is to reach as many areas as possible, now we are spreading its good humour to the neighbourhoods.

Mari Luz Lurbe is a professional laugher and smiler, an activist who for twenty years has made people smile. The session offers a group experience in which humour, smiles, laughter, positive thinking and various relaxation techniques, the principles of emotional intelligence, are used.

After a short theoretical introduction we put our imaginations to music, play and body movement; we will open another dimension to understanding and living life more positively; We work simply with playful togetherness, loss of inhibition and good communication. We give clues to achieving a healthier mental philosophy. Although the experience will basically be fun, it will also provide information to those involved, useful resources to help recover some motivation and enable them to better enjoy daily life.
