The clown on the floor
Avanced clown course
Finding your clown is one thing, the other is knowing what to do with it…
What we call the fourth wall does not exist on the floor or at different scenic spaces where a clown performs; he is in direct permanent contact with the public to collect a smile.
We will work on the theatre bases of the clown and research on how to be effective before the public. At the same time, we will work on clarity in gesture, on actions and on emotional projection that enable the clown to connect with the audience.
The games and individual and collective improvisation will serve to awaken the creativity in which we will find the scenic presence, pauses, rhythms, listening, pretext, complicity with the game, companion and public. Each one must discover and feed his own investigation.
The character will evolve as students finds meaning and come closer from oneself to their own clown that will be discovering through the reaction of others (public). We will see how different clown styles can come about from these game, but you will first make yourself laugh and be honest about what you are feeling and what you are doing.
