A bit of history
Excerpts from the book "Historia del Teatre Figueres (1816-1991)" published by the Servei de Publicacions de l'Ajuntament of Figueres
It was 1932 when Antoni Calvet and Mr. Vega Sr. designed an advertising curtain with compartmentalized spaces of varying size and price. Small side modules cost 10 pessetes a year. The municipal theatre of Figueres, the present Dalí Theatre-Museum, was administered by the company Guasch-Bech, who was also responsible for the preservation and improvement of the building.
The private sector has always had to use imagination to succeed. Thanks to the merchants of the city for their support to the Comedy Festival.
